ROUND 1/JANUARY 5, 2013
ANGEL STADIUM OF ANAHEIM/ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA
SUPERCROSS
P36
MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES, AN FIM CHAMP
ergy Racing Team Suzuki RMZ450 and into the lead, pulling
with him another rider who really
didn't register on anyone's radar
- not because he's not capable
of winning but because he hasn't
raced since breaking his back a
year ago - Trey Canard, whose
career was in serious doubt af-
ter his Los Angeles Supercross
crash last season. His fans really didn't seem to care how he
would finish at Anaheim 1… they
were just glad to see him back.
The thought of him winning was
secondary.
But as improbable as it was,
these two racers would actually
battle back and forth for the Anaheim 1 win. And it was an epic
battle at that.
Millsaps led most of the race
but just couldn't shake Canard.
At times, it looked as though Millsaps might break free, but Canard would always reel him back
in.
