IN THE WIND P40 ALEX MARTIN TO AUTOTRADER/ YOSHIMURA/SUZUKI A lex Martin, who finished second in the 2018 AMA Pro Motocross Championship in the 250MX class for the TLD/Red Bull/KTM Team, is leaving the orange squad and heading over to the Autotrader/Yoshimura/Su- zuki Factory Racing Team for the next two years. The following is a release from the Autotrader/Yoshimura/Su- zuki Factory Racing Team: The Autotrader/Yoshimura/ Suzuki Factory Racing Team is pleased to announce that Alex Martin has signed a two-year contract to race the Suzuki RM- Z250. The multi-race winner and title contender will contest the 250 regional Supercross series and 250 National Cham- pionship. Hailing from Millville, Minnesota, Martin has an impressive racing resume. The 28-year-old has earned two Na- tional wins, three Supercross po- diums, 18 outdoor podiums, and a combined 84 top-ten finishes. Martin has twice finished runner- up in the Lucas Oil Pro Moto- cross Championship. "I'm very happy to be joining the team and excited for the next two years," stated Martin. "The resources that the Autotrader/Yoshimura/ Suzuki Factory Racing Team has to offer, along with the facility at JGRMX in North Carolina, will be a huge benefit. Suzuki is coming out with a brand-new RM-Z250 for 2019, and I'm excited to get great results on the bike. I am looking forward to the next few years!" Autotrader/Yoshimura/ Suzuki Factory Racing team manager Jeremy Albrecht is eager to work with the veteran. "I'm pumped that a rider of Alex's caliber will be on the all-new Su- zuki RM-Z250. Our goal is to win races, both in Supercross and the Nationals. Alex is extremely disciplined, a proven winner, and has that hunger to succeed. I feel really good about our chanc- es in 2019 and beyond." CN SAVATGY TO MONSTER ENERGY KAWASAKI K awasaki leaked on Instagram that Monster Energy/Pro Cir- cuit/Kawasaki Team rider Joey Savatgy is now a member of its Monster Energy Kawasaki Factory Race Team. He will move up to the 450cc class in 2019. The post read: Monster Energy Kawasaki is excited to wel- come @versacesavatgy17 to the team. The No. 17 machine will make its premier class debut at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 13th. No other information has been released from the factory team. Savatgy will be Eli Tomac's new teammate, replacing Josh Grant. No word yet as to what Grant's future plans might be. CN Joey Savatgy will be Eli Tomac's new teammate on the Monster Energy Kawasaki Factory Race Team. Alex Martin, formerly of the TLD/ Red Bull/KTM Team, is moving over to the Autotrader/ Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Team.
