ROUND 15 / SEPTEMBER 2, 2018
ILLINOIS STATE FAIRGROUNDS / SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS
P68
the State Fair Arena on a short
banked oval.
Held in conjunction with an
AMA Racing Steve Nace All Star
event, there was a lot of rac-
ing on Saturday as a lead-in for
Sunday's big event.
Heats and Semis whittled the
45 entries down to an 18 rider,
15-lap main event.
Jesse Janisch (Roof-Systems
of Dallas/West Bend Harley-Da-
vidson, Yamaha YZ450F) got the
holeshot and led the crowded
field into turn one. Current class
points leader Dan Bromley (KTM
North America/Bromley Motor-
sports KTM 450 SX-F) and fast
Research & Technology, Indian
Scout FTR750) recovered from a
bad start to finish seventh ahead
of Jake Shoemaker, Jarod
Vanderkooi and Bronson Bau-
man.
Unfortunately for Bronson
Bauman his Indian failed the
post race sound check and he
forfeited his tenth-place finish.
Hayden Gillim (Indian Motor-
cycle/Cycle World, Indian Scout
FTR750) moved up to tenth.
AFT SINGLES

not compete on the big mile,
but instead holds their round at
hoping with the way my bike was
handling, that he wouldn't make
an aggressive move. If I did that
my bike would start shaking bad.
He came out in the middle of the
groove and luckily gave me just
enough room to go by him."
Henry Wiles, with no draft-
ing partner, came home a
distant fifth, a little over nine
seconds back. Jake Johnson

of the five-rider battle for sixth.
