A first for
Modern MotoGP
The cancellation of all classes at
the British MotoGP was unprec-
edented in the modern era. The
last time a complete meeting was
abandoned without any racing
was at Austria's Salzburgring in
1980. The reason? Thick snow at
the track in the Alpine foothills.
The closest example in recent
years was in Qatar in 2009. The
125cc race had been hit by rain,
