IN THE WIND P36 A merican Honda is conducting a safety recall, in conjunction with CPSC, to replace the clutch basket and judder spring on all 2018 CRF250R motorcycles. Under certain conditions, the clutch basket can break and possibly cause the engine to lock up, increasing the risk of a crash and injury. "All registered owners will receive a letter about the safety recall. The clutch basket and judder spring will be replaced with modified parts and the repair will be carried out at no cost to the owner," read a notice from Honda. "Dealers have been instructed to stop selling new or used 2018 model-year CRF250R motorcycles until the issue has been rectified. Additional assistance is available from Honda Motorcycle Customer Support at 866-784-1870, or online at http://powersports.honda.com. (Click 'Recall Information' at the bottom of the page.)" CN NO MX OF NATIONS FOR REED W hen Australia released its roster for the upcoming Mo- tocross of Nations at RedBud, Chad Reed was disap- pointed to see his name not on the list, which was instead made up of Kirk Gibbs, Hunter Lawrence and Mitch Evans. Reed revealed his disappointment on Instagram, posting: I've played a large role in representing Australia at MXoN over the last 19 years! Every time I put on the green and gold I was so honored to be representing my country. Winning motos and standing on the individual podium was the highest level of pride I've ever felt! I took it personal when, as a team, we failed to get the results we were capable of. Finally in 2011 we experienced the most amazing feeling winning the 1st moto and then standing on the overall podium with my fellow Australian teammates— two very talented riders @bmetty24 [Brett Mecalfe] @mossy102 [Matt Moss]. For the last month I had been working hard with the plan of racing my final MXoN at RedBud with @bmetty24 but unfortunately we didn't make the team. I'm disap- pointed that my chance of wearing the green and gold at MXoN has come to an end but the memories will be with me forever! CN Honda is recalling certain clutch parts on its 2018 CRF250R. For the first time in many years, Chad Reed will be watching the MX of Nations, not racing it. FAULTY CLUTCH PROMPTS RECALL
