podium at Sonoma in a dominant
display. Local boy Lee—who had just
returned from duties at the Suzuka
8 Hour—headed Utah winner Chad
Lewin (Team Lewin Estates Yamaha
YZF-R1) and Travis Wyman (Weir
Everywhere Racing BMW S 1000
Ventura used some of his
newly crafted skills learned
from the VR46 camp to take
his first win of the year.
In a year in which he's
been a consistent
podium finisher,

finally broke though
for a race win.
