ROUND 10 / AUGUST 11, 2018
UNADILLA VALLEY SPORTS CENTER / NEW BERLIN, NEW YORK
P60
Tomac, who had another 30 seconds on Barcia in third.
Barcia battled with his teammate Cooper Webb in the last
few laps to snatch third. Webb was fourth and Nicoletti,
after a fall, was fifth. Then came Baggett, Roczen and
Weston Peick (AutoTrader/Yoshimura Factory Suzuki), the
last racer on the lead lap.
Musquin took the overall win with a 2-1 over Tomac's 1-2,
which means Musquin didn't make up any points on Tomac
in the championship chase.
"That second moto was just awesome," Musquin said.
"It was perfect. And I had fun! I didn't know the time [be-
tween him and Tomac] so I just kept on pushing. Unfortu-
nately, Eli [Tomac] got me in the first moto but the second
moto was just awesome. The championship is the same
as before the weekend so I'll go into the last two rounds
focused on winning races so I can hopefully make a dent
in that lead."
Local boy Nicoletti ended up third overall with a 3-5 over
another local boy, Barcia, who scored an 8-3 for fourth
despite his opening-moto first-turn fall. Baggett was fifth on
the day with a 5-6.
Musquin was all smiles afterward.

Off-road star Kailub Russell
must have thought he was
at another GNCC or ISDE,
but it was at his first AMA
Pro MX. He went 6-DNF.
