Several other riders includ- ing Jack Miller (Alma Pramac Ducati) were seriously slowed. (The second KTM rider, Pol Espargaro, was already out, breaking his collarbone crashing in morning warm-up.) Rossi had jumped into the lead from the middle of the front row (Marquez qualified third), but before the first lap was half done for the team," he said. "I decided to stay back to save the tire, and this is new for me. We had good speed in the end but I was just a little too late." And Marquez made the most of third. "The Ducatis were really strong, in acceleration more than top speed, and in brak- ing. "I am con- fident that we can make what he will require, but I can't say how much different it will be until he starts to ride it." WHO CARES ABOUT MOTOE?
