FORKNER UPDATE
Early in the second 250MX moto,
Austin Forkner, who was running
third at the time, went to scrub the
base of Horsepower Hill and his front
wheel just barely touched the dirt
on his way over. It was a very similar
crash to what broke Trey Canard's
femur in the exact same spot on the
track a few years ago. Despite the
pain, Forkner was also undoubt-
edly devastated at yet another AMA
National with one fantastic moto and
one absolutely terrible one. For-
kner indicated on his Instagram that
he was okay, saying, "Everything
happens for a reason and I'm not
entirely sure what that reason is but
just gotta keep believing. See u at
Unadilla."
