CN III VOICES W H A T Y O U A R E S A Y I N G "Only Eli can beat Eli." Emde Looking Back Thanks for the mention in issue #28 about my TT win on the twin-pipe Suzuki TM250 at Mesa Speedway back in 1968. Wow, 50 years ago! I noted in that story that I also got credit for a road race win 10 years later in the 250 Expert class at Sears Point. That was actually my little broth- er David in the saddle that day and I don't want to take away his credit for that win. He's not around to point it out; we lost him in a road crash in 2003. Don Emde Picturesque Beautiful and interesting picture of Marc Marquez with the Ger- man houses in the background on the cover of issue #28. Any way of knowing the ap- proximate speed Marquez was going in this picture wheeling apparently preparing for a left corner? Jon Vivian CN Kawasaki Z900RS Project Nice. We pulled up next to one while attending VMD this year in Ohio and it is a great looking bike. I'm going to vote "no" on the gold Dymag, but that just means I'd want a silver-painted Dymag. Maybe it's my age (61)? Other than that, nice "tweeks" to this neat (new) standard. P.S. Belated congrats on your huge result at Pikes Peak 2018, Rennie. Bob Close Wow, you guys took a great looking motorcycle down a peg or two with those gold wheels and black muffler. Steven Salmons I love the gold wheels and I'm 66 (not sure why that matters). Richard Pollock Tomac And Millville It was great to watch Eli Tomac's ability to push the pace. He was really twist- ing it to catch Musquin in the final moto. Seems like he can turn up the wick whenever he needs to. Allen Harrington Tomac was incredible. I don't know if I'm more impressed with that or Roczen's resur- gence. Roczen is Hall of Fame material for sure. Howard Halterman Only Eli can beat Eli. Musquin has enough speed to keep it interesting. Roczen has speed but not the fitness or strength. Nobody else is close. Terry Heath Sykes Leaving Kawasaki Tom Sykes has been shad- owed by Jonathan Rea for a couple years now, along with the friction amongst the two. With that being said, Tom did put Kawi on the map. I person- ally enjoyed watching Tom ride through the years and wish him well in the future.
