or 2019 Suzuki has introduced a
brand-new model for the little ones—
the DR-Z50.
The DR-Z50 off-roader is powered by
a 49cc, four-stroke engine with electric
starting (complete with a back-up kickstart
lever). It also has a three-speed transmis-
sion aided by an automatic clutch.
Braking power is supplied by a pair of
drum brakes.
In the suspension department, 3.8 inch-
es of wheel travel is offered at both ends via
an inverted telescopic coil-spring fork up
front and a single coil-spring shock in the
rear. Seat height is just 22 inches, and the
bike weighs in at 119 pounds with fuel. Fuel
capacity is 0.8 gallons.
MSRP is $1749 and will arrive on show-
room floors in September. CN
