Le Mans winner Phillip Oettl (Sudmetal KTM) fought through to the front pack after finishing lap one 18th, but had dropped to eighth at the end. Raul Fer- nandez (replacing the injured Brad Binder on the Red Bull KTM) was an excellent ninth. Close behind Ayumu Sasaki (Petrons Honda) narrowly held off teammate Adam Norrodin to complete the top ten. Martin's points advantage over Bezzecchi is now 130 to 123. Canet moved to third on 92, displacing non-scorers di Giannantonio (91) and Bastiani- ni (84). CN They were the survivors of a swarming melee around the shortest and tightest track of the year, with some significant casualties. One was Martin's teammate Fabio di Giannantonio, who fell after tagging his teammate into the first corner; Martin was lucky not to fall as well. Another was Catalan GP winner Enea Bastianini (Leop- ard Honda), fastest in morning warm-up, struggling to secure a top-10 place when he fell, taking early front running rookie Alonso Lopez (EG Honda) down with him. Gabriel Rodrigo (RBA KTM) It's all falling into place for Jorge Martin (88) who took a second consecutive Moto3 win.
