The riders wer e fou r wide o n th e banking a t th e halfway point, Williamson moving to th e front , but just as quickl y ba ckwards aft er nearl y cr as h ing in turn o ne. Down to th e last lap, three rid ers sparre d ; Bla ckmon ge tt ing th e best of it in front o f McGill , T ext er, and Will ia mson.
