This shot perfectly illustrates the
problems WorldSBK is facing these days—
no one in the stands. And this is in Italy,
a country traditionally mad for superbike
racing. MotoGP is enjoying a golden age
of record crowds and television numbers,
and Jonathan Rea (1) wants a MotoGP star
rider to come over to raise the profile of
the WorldSBK series. Dorna needs to do
something to get more bums on seats—
this is not how it should be in WorldSBK.
