iders, commentators and fans alike said
the same thing. The MotoGP race was
"like a Moto3 race." It was true, only up to
a point. In fact, it was better. Moto3 only had five
in the lead group, and two of them fell off. For
most of the race, MotoGP had eight.
Perhaps the least unexpected thing about
the Dutch TT was the name of the winner. Marc
Marquez (Repsol Honda) had looked superior all
weekend. But a train of truly epic circumstances
made sure he had to work harder than perhaps
ever in his career for the win, at the front of the
closest top 15 in MotoGP history, and possibly
the best race ever.
And all run in most un-Assen-like sunshine.
