ust as the USA is gearing up for its Independence Day celebrations,
it's fitting that France came to New England and won both classes at
round six of the 2018 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championships
at The Wick 338 in Massachusetts. During the American Revolution, at a
time when the fledgling, rebellious British colonies declared their indepen-
dence from British rule, it was the French who stepped up to help ensure
America would achieve its own independence. At Southwick, it was again
the French who stepped up but this time to sweep round six of the Lucas
Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship at The Wick MX338.
Both Red Bull KTM's Marvin Musquin and Monster Energy/Yamalube/
Star Racing Yamaha's Dylan Ferrandis capitalized on crashes by the lead-
ers to win the second moto in their respective classes, along with the
overall, culminating in a French party at the top of both podiums.
The 450MX class gets things started in the first moto.
