Part Ways

onster Energy Kawasaki
and Chase Sexton have
mutually ended their contract
agreement, effective immedi-
ately. The former AMA Su-
percross and Pro Motocross
champion is terminating his
contract after one year of a
three-year deal with Kawasaki.
Sexton's 2026 season was
highlighted by two Supercross
main event wins (A2 and Salt
Lake) before a knee injury at
the Thunder Valley round of Pro
Motocross put him out for the
rest of the year.
In a statement from Kawa-
saki, it read, "Kawasaki Motors
Corp., U.S.A. and Chase Sexton
have mutually agreed to part
ways effective October 23,
2026. The 2026 season togeth-
er was highlighted by achieving
two 450 Supercross wins in
Anaheim and Salt Lake City,
adding Sexton to the long list of
Supercross winners with Kawa-
saki. Kawasaki wishes him the
best for the 2027 season."
Sexton added more on his In-
stagram, saying, "Just want to
say thank you, Kawasaki. Very
appreciative for all the effort
by every person involved, and I
wish the team and all the staff
the best going forward. See you
at the races!"
Kawasaki appeared to field
a three-rider team next season,
but that is now looking less and
less likely. Garrett Marchbanks
and Malcolm Stewart are ex-
pected to race for the Monster
Energy Kawasaki team in 2027.
As for Sexton's future, he's been
linked to several teams, but
there is no word yet on what
color the number four machine
will be next year.
