P94 CN III PRODUCT REVIEW HARLEY-DAVIDSON AURORAL 3-IN-1 LEATHER JACKET LIST PRICE: $595 http://www.harley-davidson. com/store/auroral-3-in-1- leather-jacket STANDOUT FEATURE: Amazing fit, super solid construction, fantastic quality leather RIDER ANALYSIS: Six months has passed with me in Harley-Davidson's Auroral 3-in-1 Leather Jacket and I can say without doubt, this is one of the best jackets I've ever tested. I'd want it to be for the price! But I've worn it so much for the last half a year it's almost become a second skin. It's a pretty heavy jacket, but it sits so well I now hardly notice the weight. Aside from the high quality cowhide leather, which took next to no time to mold to the various intricacies of my pretty out- of-shape frame, one of the things I love about the Auroral are the zippers. Like my kick-around AGV Sport jacket I've had for over a year, the zippers are real quality and haven't once ripped open or misaligned. Sounds like a small thing but I've had jackets that cost more than the Auroral with really crappy zippers, and if they don't work, what's the point? The inner liner/hoodie is easily the most comfortable liner I've got in any current jacket. Most liners leave me sweating after a solid day, even if it's been a cold ride, whereas this H-D hoodie feels like one of the hundreds of Hurley hoodies in my bottom drawer. Thus I have not taken it out, and to be honest I probably won't, because even though the Auroral will be a pretty hot in summer, the vents flow enough air that I doubt it'll even bother me. Many riders wouldn't think of a Harley jacket if they're not a Harley rider, but I thought the exact same thing before wearing this. Rennie Scaysbrook Harley-Davidson's Auroral 3-in-1 Leather Jacket is one of the Bar and Shield brand's premier riding jackets and being a 3-in-1, you're getting a lot more for your money than a standard jacket. The Auroral is constructed using sturdy and thick mid-weight cowhide leather with a polyester mesh body lining and polyester taffeta sleeve lining. That's similar construction to a few of the other jackets in H-D's lineup but the Auroral comes with a removable cotton/polyester hoodie that can be worn separately. It's ultra comfortable and even looks great when worn on its own. There are couple of vertical front vents, two on the back and pockets for armor in the elbows and shoulders. The Auroral isn't designed to be a very tight fitting jacket and thus you can wear a back protector easily underneath. The piping up and down the arms and shoulders and logos underneath the left collarbone, right shoulder and back are all constructed using 3M Scotchlite reflective material which shines up much brighter than expected in low light or at nighttime under street lights.
