running a close second through
the first loop, Bel-Ray/FMF/Moose
Racing Husqvarna Factory Off-Road
Team's Jacob Argubright expe-
rienced both a rear-tire failure and
sprained ankle, forcing him back to
the pits prematurely.
Several riders celebrated birthdays
on the weekend, including sixth-
place 250cc A Harry Lyles and
Senior A winner Paul Krause (who
was 24th overall and is now eligible
for Super Senior A as well as AARP).
The Yerington National was the third
and final round of the Silver State
Classic. With his 2-1-1 record in the
three Nevada Nationals, Ricky Bra-
bec picked up the $2000 bonus
for winning that series within a se-
ries. That's in addition to the $1000
win bonus from Wild West Chevro-
let, $300 Speed Freak Bomb Run
Award and $100 Bike Week Radio
Show First to the Pits Award, making
it a very profitable weekend for him.
Justin Morgan enjoyed the Yering-
ton course, describing it: "This one
was fast, almost Baja-style—kind of
Best in the Desert a little bit. There
were some flat dirt roads out there
that were really fun, plus some two-
track with some pretty scary rocks.
It was well marked and everything,
then we got to see some pine trees
and go up in elevation a little bit—not
huge pine trees, but it was cool.
Bitchen single-track and everything—
I loved it!"
With all racing taking place on Sun-
day, a few riders took the opportunity
