250 class is stacked this year,
and there are 10 guys on good
teams and they're all going fast,
so for me to get fifth tonight… I'm
pumped. I was a little tight and
got a little tired, my lungs were a
little tight, so I know I have more
in me. Osborne got by me and
then I paced him the whole moto,
and I was mad at myself because
I was just as fast as him and I let
him go by. Overall it was good;
something to hang my hat on and

Another rider who was fast all
day and has been somewhat under the radar this year is class veteran Rockstar Energy Racing's
Ryan Sipes. Running as high as
third in timed qualifying and winning an exciting heat one against
Rockstar's Jason Anderson and
Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Martin Davalos, Sipes
looked poised to get on the podium in the main. It wouldn't be,
though.
After getting a so-so start in the
main, Sipes couldn't avoid hitting
the flipping number-176 KTM of
Joey Savatgy, who went sailing
over the bars in the step-on/stepoff section before a triple on the
first lap. The wreck would claim
many riders, including the Suzuki
of Max Anstie Davalos and the
Rocket Exhaust Honda of Mi-
